  • True a large degree. Many people, including those who are unemployed, do not have any clue what Washington does and they rely on what theyare told by the propaganda machine(s). More often than not, they vote for candidates who, when elected, work against them.

  • I agree that a public option would bring a lot of competitive forces to the market. Besides, there are no complaints about Medicare. This suggests that the government can run successful insurance organizations.

  • It is very expensive (at least $1 trillion/year more than it should be) and the US Healthcare system is considered 37th in the World.

  • Who cares!!! It is a small issue. Either the police thought that the person (owner) showed a fake ID, or the police did not think clearly.

  • And do not forget how much the same people in Washington have done to resolve the subprime mortgage problem. Everybody agrees that the source of the financial problem was giving mortgages to people who would not be able to pay back the loans.
